Box Shot is a program to create images of virtual CD and DVD boxes.
These images will be perfect to announce a software or compilation that does not come in a real box, or to illustrate an article using your own customized boxes. This kind of tool is often used in software selling sites, to create an impressive look for a product.
The program achieves this by rendering the images you want into different box shapes, by using ray tracing algorithms. The result will be a rendered image of a box that looks very real.
The program interface will guide you easily through the creation process. The first thing you must decide is the shape that you will like to use: You can choose from a variety of boxes, books, mugs, folders, bags and other elements.
Then, you can choose the images that you want printed on those shapes.
You can also modify the angle in which the virtual camera will take the virtual object, as well of the offset, distance and perspective. The lightning can be modified, and you can enable the reflections on the floor and the background.
Once you have finished your design, you can render it, in order to obtain the final image.
The trial version of this program will include a watermark in every rendered image.
